Before you can use Mitchell 1 DIY, you need to
select your vehicle and create an account/log
in to access the repair information for your
vehicle. Creating an account with a pre-paid
Activation Number is quick and easy. Go to the
Mitchell 1 DIY Home page and click the Buy Now
button. Then select your Vehicle from the Year,
Make, and Model screens to create your account.
Choose Activation Number as your Payment Type,
and enter it from your pre-paid card on the
Select Payment Type screen. Then follow the
on-screen instructions to complete your account
creation process.
Creating an account in Mitchell 1 DIY is a quick and straightforward process. Go to Mitchell 1 DIY Home page and click the Buy Now link. You will select a vehicle, then choose a Username and Password for your account. You will also need to select a method of payment for your subscription. You can pay by either entering an Activation Number from a pre-paid card or your credit card information or PayPal for billing. You will need to provide your name, address, and email address. Once you have created an account, you can access your vehicle's information.
If you have forgotten your Mitchell 1 DIY password, you could reset your password by clicking the Forgot Password link on the Login page. Clicking the Forgot Password link opens the credential management screen. Enter the Username of your account and click next. If the username is valid, you will receive an email at the associated email address. Click the reset password button in the email, enter the new password twice and click rest password again. You will receive a second email when the process is complete.
You can print the receipt confirmation after
purchasing or extending a subscription. You will
also receive an email notification with details
of your purchase.
Once logged in to your account, you can extend
your subscription from the Subscriptions Page.
You can extend it by paying with an Activation
Number or your Credit Card or PayPal. For more
information, log in to your account and click
the Contact link from the Subscriptions Page.
We accept payments through PayPal (except CAN-PayPal) and credit cards Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Even though your subscription has expired, your
Mitchell 1 DIY account is still active, and you
can still log in to your account. Once logged in
to your account, you can activate/extend your
expired subscription from the Subscriptions
Page. You can pay for your subscription
extension by entering an Activation Number,
credit card, or PayPal information.
Log into your existing DIY account. Click on the “Buy Now” button in the upper right-hand corner. Select the Year-Make-Model of the vehicle you wish to add to your account. Then click “Use This Vehicle” button in the lower right-hand corner. Select your subscription duration type and select continue to check-out.

Your Subscription includes Factory Recall and Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), Illustrated Diagnosis and Repair Procedures, Diagnostic Charts and Trouble Codes, Component Location and Wiring Diagrams, and Factory Maintenance Schedules.
